Daily
Using a long-handled leaf skimmer, gather leaves, insects, and other floating debris from the surface of your pool. Removing debris daily, before it sinks to the bottom of your pool helps avoid dirtying the bottom of the pool and clogging your filtration system.
Weekly
Brush your swimming pool bottom, walls, ladders, and slides each week to remove dirt and help prevent the spread of algae. Brush sediment toward your main pool drain to be easily vacuumed with either an automatic or manual pool vacuum.
Your pool skimmer and filter should also be cleaned weekly to allow maximum efficiency and don’t forget to keep an eye on your pool’s water level so that debris is properly collected.

Monthly

Even with weekly chemical testing you will occasionally need to shock your swimming pool when you notice the water become cloudy. By shocking your pool, you temporarily increase the chlorine levels to kill bacteria.
