Changing the Depth of Your Pool

Many pool owners wonder exactly what modifications can be made during their renovation. Often times the pool may have come with the house and you want a change to something that matches your backyard vision. Perhaps you have a growing family and the pool now seems too shallow for everyone. Changing the depth of your swimming pool is usually fairly simple.

Shallower Pool

This is the simpler pool renovation when depth modifications are desired. Making a pool shallower is an easy and fast process. The pool renovation company will drain your swimming pool. The bottom of the pool is removed either with machinery or by hand, depending on access to the pool. Fill dirt is then added bringing the pool to the new depth. A new swimming pool bottom will replace the original and match the remaining portion of the pool.

Deeper Pool

Making a swimming pool deeper is a bit more involved. Once the water is drained, the pool renovation company will dig out the pool to the desired depth. The old pool bottom will be replaced with a new bottom and sides to match the original pool construction.
